Welcome to the official website of the Apostolic Vicariate of North America for the Holy Celtic Church International. The HCCI is a traditional, sacramental, and apostolic church in the Liberal Catholic, Old Catholic, and Celtic traditions with clergy and laity all over the world. The Apostolic Vicariate is the ordinary jurisdiction of the HCCI in North America and represents over half a dozen clergymen and one deaconess bringing traditional Celtic spirituality to the New World.
The Right Reverend Dom Sean of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus is our ordinary bishop, appointed to preside over Holy Celtic Church in North America and having been consecrated as Titular Bishop of Lismore in 2017 and thereafter made Vicar Apostolic. A graduate of Villanova University, Bishop Sean also serves as the Prior of the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe within the Holy Cross Benedictines.
Dom Sean is currently on sabbatical from his positions as Titular Bishop of Lismore, Vicar Apostolic of North America, and Prior of the Province of Our Lady. During this time the Presiding Bishop of the Holy Celtic Church International, the Rt. Rev. Alistair Bate, has assumed direct administration of the titular see, Vicariate, and Province.
The Holy Celtic Church International, Apostolic Vicariate of North America, maintains a number of locations throughout the United States. These include St Cuthbert's Parish and others. Please contact His Grace the Bishop if you are interested in receiving the sacraments from a Holy Celtic cleric (or are interested in becoming one yourself!) and he will be able to best advise you.
